Drinking and Painting!

Here's the before. With a dash of the yellow color I eventually painted the living room. It took me three days to paint. But I don't use tape. Just a steady hand and a furni pad that I moved under wherever I painted. And no paint clothes. I just paint in what I have on. If you see me, you can find at least one paint drip on any outfit.

Here is the after...after I got tipsy and painted that nook...

I'm not a huge fan of the yellow walls...it looks great in the morning and great in the evening, but from 12-3 it looks garish. So I think I'm going grey. That should help all the colors of my furniture pop...
I think it looks much better. And I can't believe what a steady hand I had after a few vodka drinks!

Ah vodka. Gave up my dear friend KettleOne for Lent but just wait until tomorrow. :D Love the floral fireplace. Definitely you and popping it with that teal is just what it called for. I don't mind the yellow, really, but I think grey is to on trend right now that you can't go wrong with that either. Thanks for sharing on BeColorful this week.

I can't believe this is the first time I've seen your fabulous fireplace. It says you linked it up to my party...but I've never seen it so you must have forgotten to. Please link it up this week. Love, love love it! I am so over my yellow walls too. I love it in the kitchen and breakfast nook because I get northern light in there. But in the dining room and living room....it goes so bright in the afternoon and always looks way more yellow in photos. I am thinking of going blue much like you are looking at. It's beautiful at night...but too bright when the sun hits it.

Nita! Thank you so much! I painted my fireplace so long ago! Before my blogging and obsessive picture taking. I used a tiny projector and worked in sections using an Indian crewel fabric. And just recently, I updated the colors. The yellow is more yellow and the blue is more teal. I'm so glad I did it! Linking up! Thank you! PS I'm hoping the blue does the trick!
